Here's another megapost on our lives! Gabe started his doctoral program at Johns Hopkins in August (doctor of public health in health management) and we moved into our new house in September. We bought a house 45 minutes north of DC and 30 minutes south of Baltimore. Amber is teaching a few students from home and Elle and Seb are happy to be settled. After 10 moves in 6 yrs of marriage, 3 of the moves being in the last 6 months, we are more than happy to have parked it for awhile. Ironically, we still couldn't bear to throw away the very best packing boxes we've acquired over the years. Gabe somehow excelled at his first term at school, worked full-time and unpacked the house all at the same time (very little sleep). Amber feels like supermom to have packed and moved and unpacked so many times with two babies (essentially babies). She set her own personal record of unpacking and having things all in place in just three weeks, including painting the house. Elle and Seb helped in the organization process. Just yesterday, Elle pretended to hang a picture on the wall and asked us, "Looks good here? (moving it to the left a little), here? Cute? Okay, bam bam bam (making a hammer noise)!" Now, it's time to relax and enjoy ourselves. Thanks to everyone for their support on this next exciting chapter of our lives! We're so proud of Gabe for being at Hopkins! Warning: long video and the very detailed tour of our house that many of you asked for.
