Weekend in Newport, RI

We went to Newport to celebrate Gabe's discharge from the army. We got the honorable discharge certificate in the mail today! We drove through CT and checked out Yale on the way. Elle really liked it, so I guess we'd better start saving.



Newport is famous for its mansions. This is the Breakers - summer home of the NY Vanderbuilts.

Elle's first swimming experience. She shyed away from the splashing kids at first, but got used to it after a while. Her favorite part was waving to the lap swimmers.
