Elle is starting to get out of the house more often. This month she went on walks to the beach with mom, went to the Montauk Lighthouse on the southeasternmost tip of Long Island, and watched the 9-11 "Tribute to Light" from the town dock.
Montauk Lighthouse on the southeasternmost point of Long Island. This was our Labor Day excursion. We drove through the Hamptons to get there. We didn't see any celebrities, but we managed to have a lot fun anyway.

Watching the Tribute to Light on 9-11. We almost went into the city. At the last minute, we decided that it was against our better judgement to explore Manhattan on one of the busiest nights of the year. It was beautiful to watch from our own town dock.

You have to look closely! The Empire State Building is in the right 1/3 of the pic. You can see the WTC floodlights in the center. You can the lights shining on the clouds just above that.
